"Have no fear of
perfection, you will
never reach it."
Dali

Josie and the Traveling Balloons- Is this character I created many many MANY moons ago. I have changed and altered this character many different ways, they have grown as I have grown.

.

.

.

Josie is this gender non-conforming character I created that goes on a journey exploring and experiencing life. Changing up their outfits and hair styles they are always a little different per painting.

.

.

.

My focus on Josie, is to show that a GNC child can live a life just like everyone else, exploring, curiosity and self discovery.

.

.

.

Josie has parents, that are loving and supportive of Josie. You never get to see Josie’s parents because I want their parents to look like any parent YOU can imagine for Josie. All you need to know if that they love and support Josie, it is just that easy. It shows that any parent does not matter your upbringing or background, you can love your child for who they are.

.

.

.

Josie’s skin is transparent because I also want anyone to feel like they can relate with Josie. It is not the color of their skin that maters in these stories, it is the experiences and exploration that is the common factor of a child.
